In the latest release a number of interoperability improvements to workflows between Autodesk® Revit® products and Autodesk® Navisworks® products help to increase your productivity. Switchback enables you to move quickly between views in Navisworks products and Revit products for easier navigation and visualization. Support for new Revit Construction Modeling tools enables you to pass your construction components into Navisworks for 4D simulation. This release also supports Revit properties, including areas, volumes and points, along with Revit-linked files and split regions.

The latest release includes a number of improvements to the Clash Detective tool that can better support management and resolution of project clashes. Workflow tools enable you to assign ownership of clashes. Improved reporting tools provide you with a batch summary of the status of your clashes and the ability to export a formatted report directly to Microsoft® Office Excel® software. Better visualization of clashes is supported by a new wireframe view and a clash focus feature.

Navisworks now offers multisheet 2D DWF™ support, so you can open, review and explore your 2D datasets alongside your 3D models. The 2D view is integrated with the 3D environment, enabling you to select a model component in the 3D world and then find and review the same component in a 2D representation (such as a floor plan or section). This parallel viewing capability provides you with a greater level of detail, helping you to make more accurate and timely decisions on project tasks.

Navisworks continues to improve the level of interoperability with the applications used by your project team.
